The team leader of Legal Documentation Officers is expected to be a subject matter expert in one (or more) specific skill sets, business areas or products. Seasoned professional role. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.
Directly impacts the area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and formulation of procedures/process improvement. Responsible for escalating control gaps and issues to senior management. Identifies control deficiencies and implements appropriate procedures and solutions to mitigate any risk or control losses.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how own operational processes collectively integrates to contribute to achieving overall business goals.
Influences decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.
Assumes informal/formal leadership role within the team, is involved in the coaching and training of new recruits, and provides guidance and support to junior staff.
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations, mostly but not limited to the loan documentation process.
Review and approve the documentation and guarantees required by short-term credit lines (direct and contingent loans).
Manage, control the guarantees constituted in favor of the bank (Corporate), from the timely constitution of the same until their correct release. Make sure to have valuation and insurance policy in force.
Custody and maintain an inventory of the contracts of the corporate banking (Documentary Checklist) according to the current policy for this purpose.
Responsible for the coordination of appraisal and insurance processes.
Proficiency in English
Bachelor degree (desirable in law), engineer or Background in Corporate Law
Desirable post graduate diploma in finance or management.
Law requirements, knowledge in banking policies and procedures and legal documents management.
3 to 5 years of demonstrated consistent track record preferable in Banking industry or banking products.
Position requires and deep knowledge of the Corporate Banking products, of the way customers operate on the market and of how the organization works so that the Documentation Officer can add value to the customer and solve operational issues promptly.
