Kemin Industries Proteins Sales Manager in site, Mexico
Position: Proteins Sales Manager (Mexico)
Reports To: Junior CommercialManager
Overall Function:The Proteins Sales Manager is responsible for sales of KFT products to all the protein customers in Mexico. Shall be responsible for achieving the budgeted net sales, gross margin, operating income and sales expense financial indicators of the KFT LATAM – Mexico budget for the assigned market and accounts.
Lead KFT expansion and sales growth in assigned accounts. Achieve consistent growth in sales and gross margin, in accordance with annual sales budgets.
Carry out specific responsibilities in each step of the sales process, which includes:
Identifying prospective customers
Developing customer based plans for new and existing customers
Establishing relationships with individuals at the all levels of the customers’ organization
Making technical sales presentations on Kemin products/services
Closing the sale
Responsible to sell the complete Kemin product portfolio sold into the protein food industry (antioxidants, preservatives, etc.).
Develops and maintains customer database. Assures maintenance of sales reporting database (internal sales tool.)
Work with other departments to meet KFT customer objectives and to ensure customer’s needs are met regarding quality data and targeted turnaround times.
Develop cooperative relationships with key customers and industry groups to strengthen the integration of KFT into the fabric of the food industry.
Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers.
Integrate with Kemin Agri and Nutrinsurance Sales Managers to create synergistic management
Report to Senior Sales Manager the performed activities and align pricing and other market strategies on a weekly basis.
Identify the specific media channel for the market: trade shows, magazines, etc. for budget allocation
Promote workshops and seminars for proteins customers
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, biology, animal science, food science, science or related field with 2-3 years’ experience in ingredient sales.
Experience working with the meat food industry needed.
Demonstrated sales experience in successfully participating in an industrial/technical selling environment requiring lengthy and in-depth product and/or practice decision processes.
An in-depth understanding of the meat products marketplace including meat producers as well as ingredient suppliers to the industry.
Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is highly preferred.
A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution and a distinct sense of urgency.
