LAN Security Specialist

Position´s objective

To coordinate and manage programs and systems designed by Global Security within the region to provide protection to our employees and assets through the Regional Security Strategy y to mitigate risk continually.


  • Conduct Global Security investigations (BCO or Security Incidents) and prepare related reports.

  • Conduct and follow up Security Vulnerability & Risk Assessments at Monsanto Facilities and prepare necessary documentations and reports.

  • Coordinate and provide leadership, direction and guidance to contract security guards at Monsanto facilities.

  • Collect and disseminate intelligence and other information relating to the security and wellbeing of the employees and the company.

  • Establish and maintain liaison with, and provide professional security consultation to Monsanto Plant Managers and other employees in the Region, as needed.

  • Lead projects designed to promote the goals and objectives of Global Security in the Region

  • Participate in executive protection assignments including protection surveys and advance preparations.

Education, Knowledge and Experience

Required studies level: Bachelor’s degree minimum requirement

Areas of study: Prior experience in law enforcement, military or corporate security for not less than five years.

Experience required 4 - 5 years

Experienced areas: Criminal Investigations, Corporate Security Environment & Threat Assessments

English requirements: English 85% (Verbal and written proficiency in English and Spanish)

Experience as people manager (in years): At least 2 years with direct reports.

Technical Competencies

  • Basic proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Experience in preparing clear and succinct written communications.

  • Ability to follow established security procedures working under general supervision

  • Ability to perform a full range of security functions such as vulnerability and risk assessments, and identification of techniques and methods to assure and improve the protection of employees and property
