Parsons is seeking a Project Manager to support a multibillion dollar international airport development program for Mexico City. This highly complex project includes a state-of-the-art passenger terminal complex, all Landside and Airside facilities, and off-airport development that will be necessary to support airport operations. The project is planned for phased development with an expedited initial phase handling approximately 36 million annual passengers and ultimate airport capacity of over 100 million annual passengers and over 1 million tons of cargo.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the construction of the Airside Terminal portion of the project, and will serve as the primary interface to the client during construction.
Manage scope, cost, schedule, risk and deliverables for the Airside Terminal construction phase of the program.
Lead the team of Parsons employees, partners and contractors working on this element of the program.
Collaborates with Business Development to market and secure additional work.
Works with key stakeholders in establishing Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan and other documents as required.
Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the construction meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Works with the key project individual to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes. The Project Manager is specifically responsible for maintaining current and timely change orders.
Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule. Establishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
4-year degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and at least 12+ years of related work experience in similar complex civil construction.
Prefer experience with Airside Terminal project construction
Prior experience must include significant project management and construction management experience, handling projects in value of $100M and up, or similar in size/scope and complexity.
Experience should also include operations management of personnel and subcontract personnel.
Prefer candidate with Spanish speaking skills
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
Proven experience in Construction Management.
Proven experience in Project Controls.
Proven experience in Contracts Administration.
