Define and implement marketing campaigns both within and without our partners and alliances. The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join us in Mexico City, Mexico. In this role, you will report to the Marketing Manager for Mexico. You’ll adapt marketing plan and its implementation to the country go-to-market strategy by developing and implementing integrated marketing programs and campaigns, some of which will be regionally provided, targeting and nurturing current and prospective customers and our channel and alliance business partners. With these programs and campaigns, you’ll support the local business plans, covering marketing campaigns and programs, customer events and trade shows, promotions, and direct and digital marketing in cooperation with local and regional marketing team and agencies.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop and own the annual marketing plan for the mid market segment, including face-to-face, digital, social, and PR tactics aligned with the local go-to-market priorities
Carry out the mid market marketing plan, including initiatives like Red Hat events, third party conference sponsorship, digital and social campaigns, and PR
Manage marketing performance by actively reviewing and tracking the ROI for all marketing campaigns; make performance decisions and shifts to optimize spending and return on marketing investment in direct and co-marketing activities
Engage with the Channel Sales team, partners, and alliances in the region, enabling them with the open source value proposition and Red Hat's portfolio as well as marketing initiatives aligned with the go-to-market strategy
Manage local marketing agencies; regularly review agency performance and strategy in order to maximize value delivered to Red Hat
Engage the mid market and Global Partner and Alliances (GPA) leaders and serve as a trusted adviser for all questions and topics related to marketing, branding, and PR
Ensure that the mid market marketing plan is aligned with local business priorities to be able to demonstrate the contribution delivered by the Marketing team
5+ years of experience in a variety of marketing areas, ideally within the IT sector or similar; experience with marketing through channels is a plus
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a relevant field
Extensive experience in planning, implementation, and budget management
Proven record in volume product marketing
Proven social media advertising and product push expertise
Ability to carry out mid market and small and medium business (SMB) campaigns
Successful record of building relationships with sales management and collaborating on the definition and prioritization of marketing programs while managing expectations to ensure that realistic commitments are set
Record of managing multiple successful campaigns under tight deadlines
Good language skills in English
Ability to collaborate and extend trust
Ability to work as part of a team
Initiative and focus on results
Ability to listen and build relationships
Good knowledge of tools and processes related to go-to-market campaigns like Salesforce.com (SFDC), Eloqua, Ansira, ClickView, or Allocadia is a plus
