Diageo has a solid position as market leader into the growing category of whisky. We want to strengthen our position in whisky category, but at the same time we have decided to expand our relevance and continue with our value creation strategy by entering in some other categories, such as tequila,rum and vodka.

To properly face these challenges, we have to accelerate our commercial capabilities in order to be able to meet customers’ expectations and achieve our ambitious business goals, which include the development of high end customers as well as understand and develop customers focused on middle class consumers.

Convenience will grow as part of the Category Developent agenda bringing a brilliant opportunity to our brands, they are key players in our future strategy, understanding their business and strengthen our commercial proposition will be key to achieve our performance ambition.

Purpose of role:

To lead the Category Development convenience agenda on the short and long term strategy in order to create value for Diageo and customers. Lead the category growth across all Diageo's portfolio and provide the best customer’s propositions.

Lead the plans development and drive brilliant execution across the convenience channel

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:

  • Develop category/channel strategy & plans to accelerate the convenience agenda

  • Monitor and track performance and execution to ensure flawless execution

  • Lead the Category Deveopment line reviews with customers

  • Ensure customer growth above NISCAM

Qualifications and responsibilities:

  • 2 years in commercial area and/or Category Management

  • Degree qualifications in Business/Engineering

  • A self-starter, action focused, with drive to create & hit the established goals

  • Result and Detail Oriented

  • Comfortable to move between strategy & execution

  • Able to create great communications & commercial rational

  • Able to influence key senior stakeholders in Sales, Marketing and CMO

  • Advanced in Nielsen Answers, Excel and Access

  • English advanced (80%)

  • Operational discipline and attention to detail
