Professional degree + MBS or Specialization degree. Twelve (12 years) related management experience.

Position Purpose:

Develop and implement production quality strategies, procedures and policies to establish and maintain Gulfstream quality assurance or inspection programs to meet aerospace regulatory requirements and company operating priorities. Constantly assess and adapt evolving concepts and practices to enhance the quality of the product, the employee and the workplace while improving shareholder value. Provide managerial and technical oversight and effectively interact with regulatory and business partners to enhance and improve business beyond regulatory processes.

Responsibilities include overseeing quality engineering, in-process and final inspection, supplier/vendor QA engineering, and/or process excellence programs such as LEAN/Six Sigma for the organization.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions: 1. Manage the planning, budgeting, staffing and leadership plus technical guidance in specific area of responsibility to maintain an effective, cost-efficient quality system and safe working environment to meet corporate priorities 2. Provide primary interface and issue resolution with FAA, foreign regulatory personnel and ODA on relevant aspects of the Quality System (Production Certificate, Repair Station) to ensure privileges of the Production Certificate, Repair Station and ODAR/Inspection AR certificates are maintained at the highest standard of partnership and cooperation 3. Provide Quality inspection procedures, equipment, personnel and support to conduct product inspections to meet engineering/manufacturing planning requirements 4. Maintain a leadership role in representing Gulfstream and the quality organization within Gulfstream, professional and public forums 5. Proactively define and implement changes in quality processes organization and regulatory guidance when appropriate 6. Define and implement actions to support new product or process development to include type certification, supplemental type certificate, production certificate, or repair station initiatives 7. Ensure compliance to all applicable federal, corporate, departmental and organizational policy requirements 8. Manage the professional development of subordinate personnel to enhance professional growth 9. Lead a culture of continuous improvement in procedures, processes and customer satisfaction to improve cost, schedule and quality of processes 10. Develop and maintain internal and external customer relations to ensure value added 11. Lead the professional growth of the entire Quality Organization by improving processes, internal and external customer relations Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements: 1. Current or previous qualification as an ASQ Engineer or Auditor. 2. Proficient in both Spanish and English.

  1. Knowledge of FAA Repair Station operations and certification under FAR 145 desired. 4. Desired knowledge of FAA, foreign and ODA regulation requirements. 5. Demonstrate knowledge of the technical and business aspects of the aerospace industry to include supplier quality, manufacturing and in-service continued airworthiness. 6. Knowledge and success experience in quality and continuous improvement programs. 7. Ability to satisfy multiple challenges, customers and commitments simultaneously. 8. Leadership to define strategies, establish and achieve goals and objectives with interdisciplinary teams and corporate. 9.
