Job Description

Overview

This senior Mechanical CAD Designer will develop products using CAD tools, such as control modules and key fobs from start of the project to its introduction to production. Works close to mechanical engineering team at early stages of the development, creates 3D models and 2D according to specifications and GD&T standards to ensure feasibility of design. CAD designer will create and submit customer drawings according to customer standards on different OEMs.

Additional responsibilities

Support the mechanical development of control modules amd key fobs.

Support mechanical deliverables for the project i.e. (Design reviews, drawings, DFMEA, etc).

Create and release models and drawings using change management system.

Support into solutions to challenges presented during product development and production in a team based structure.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree. in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering.

Experience on product development (PLC), supporting and leading product development phases as A, B and C sample development, design and product validation etc.

Knowledgeable on design of plastic components, assemblies and sheet metal parts for the automotive industry.

Experience using GD&T on the development of component specifications.

Proficient on creation of components, assemblies and drawings on CATIA V5 (preferred).

Understanding of structural simulations for automotive applications based on FEA analysis.

  • 5 years of experience within automotive industry.
