PPG Industries Regional Sales Manager in Mexico
Position Overview: Regional Sales Manager will be the main agent of change within the work team, creating new forms of relationship. He/she must have different market vision that allows him/her to provide more alternatives to solve the existing problems, maintain concessionaries participation, align them to business objectives, as well as, be able to gain credibility through the understanding of their business’ needs, generating value with the company initiatives and involving them to the different PPG Comex strategic/critical projects. He/She will be facing constant challenges, getting experience and full knowledge of the business model in a global paint & coatings leading company with the largest number of point of sales network within the coatings market, integrating a group of distributors to the company initiatives. Achieving region sales targets, sales growth, concessionaries profitability, achieving sell in and sell out regional budget through the business advisors team will be some of the major responsibilities that the incumbent should successfully achieved.
Organization Being an agent of change, he/she should know the motivations, life projects and work team vision, knowing their field performance to evaluate based on facts his/her own organizational structure, overpassing team change resistance and encouraging them to move along Company’s strategic goals. Identify the concessionaries who are looking a patrimony growing; even generate an improvement plan for those who are stuck with low sales/growth performance that can lead him/her to make complex decisions. Regional Sales Manager belongs to Retail structure and reports to Sales Deputy Director, he/she has a business advisors team, deals with General Director, Product and Channel Marketing organization, Credit and Collection, Customer Service, Gran Red, Operations, Logistics, CFI and other Commercial areas to integrate products and services in the stores.
Performance Objectives: During the first three months he/she will analyze the region under his/her charge and team integration with another commercial and service areas. He/she must achieve in constant basis sales monthly target to be aligned with Company’s overall sales goals. After 6 months, he/she should know and understand and had built strong networking with Top 10 regional concessionaries; as well as generate work and action plans to increase sales and profitability of their businesses, plan new stores openings and strategies with other commercial and support areas. After 9 months, should be integrated with a larger number of concessionaries and continuously implement established strategic projects such as low prices, payment methods, and integral development plaza; besides, evaluating, generating and implementing projects for the region in charge.
Regional Sales Manager should have at least 3 years of experience in any commercial area, sales profitability cover through a team work, project execution; desirable experience in some consumer retailer with Marketing knowledge. Good English skills are required; as well as, leadership, development and management of team work and sales force, good negotiation skills, persuasive and customer oriented, financial skills and numerical thinking; high frustration tolerance and networking skills as well as resilience.
