Caterpillar Materials Clerk in Mexico

When you join Caterpillar as a Materials Clerk you will have the opportunity to support Caterpillar manufacturing facilities, marketing groups and other areas of the company in the movement and processing of production material, high technology equipment and several types of miscellaneous materials within the United States and to worldwide customers.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

**Ensuring government export requirements are met on customer shipment transactions provided by domestic manufacturing facilities and packagers

  • Preparing export documentation required by Caterpillar forwarders and brokers for product exportation to Caterpillar worldwide assembly lines and worldwide customers

  • Working with airfreight forwarder to expedite hot air freight and resolve grief· Responding to overseas and domestic Caterpillar companies and worldwide customer inquiries

  • Working with worldwide customers/forwarders to solve importation problems and grief

**Providing interpretation and problem solving advice to others inside and outside of the department

Required Qualifications:

**Requires familiarity with an office environment and general clerical experience

  • Some experience with personal computers would be helpful

  • The position typically requires completion of a 1-year vocational program after high school or an equivalent on-the-job training program

  • In addition, several months of job-related experience are typically required

  • Position is in frequent contact with people outside work group to give or obtain information

**It is important for incumbent to express himself or herself clearly
