Job Description

  • Effectively manages and administers all telephony systems in assigned locations

  • Provides inputs on design, planning and implementation of new business.

  • Provides accurate quotations on new telecom facilities. Coordinates timely installations and troubleshooting efforts with vendors.

  • Provide day/day support on all telephony system administration – Tasks, Incidents and Problems

  • Coordinates all telephony integration with Networking Departments

  • Performs all adds, moves and changes in PBX’s and related telephony equipment

  • Performs routine maintenance tasks on Telephony systems as specified by the vendor

  • Responsible for the coordination and implementation of change control tasks as per the Change Control Policies.

  • Creates and maintains complete and accurate records/diagrams of Telecommunication infrastructures

  • Responsible for verification of implemented site security procedures for Telecommunications

  • Performs and keeps up to date on all IT Security requirements on PBX and related Telephony equipment


Job Requirements

  • +5 years of hands on Avaya Aura Solution experience

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Excellent customer service skills are a must.

  • Certifications in Communication Manager or other Avaya components are preferred

  • Hands-on working knowledge with VoIP, understanding of VoIP Protocols including QoS.

  • Thorough working knowledge of Networking and Networking protocols

  • Thorough working knowledge of Windows Servers and the day/day maintenance and patching

  • Good computer skills – Email, Word, Excel, Visio

  • Knowledge of WAN/LAN network

  • Thorough knowledge of Telephony signaling protocols.

  • Able to speak and articulate directly with Sr. Leadership and Customers as needed.
