Description

Rationale:

Implementation of the GSO (Global Screening Operations) in Mexico. Due to data privacy, the global GSO covers 80 countries but not Mexico, so a local GSO needs to be implemented in order to perform centralized name screening alert disposition processes aligned to the global standards. The GSO Head will have under his responsibility the mentioned area.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead the centralized operational Mexico hub to support name screening alert dispositioning process

• Ensure global standards are followed compared to the Global GSO

• Provide guidance for the operational enhancement of in-country name screening and disposition processes with the goal of supporting operational standardization and alignment with Sanctions and AML Screening Policy and Standards

• Relationship with Global Compliance, Global Businesses, Global Technology areas as well as with local business

• Represent Mexico GSO in governance calls

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 6+ years’ work experience in AML, investigations, screening processes, fraud, risk or equivalent

• Finance/Banking background or equivalent experience

• Excellent judgment and assessment skills in order to take decisions

• Excellent communication skills and team leadership

• Written and oral formats, including presentations

• Excellent work ethic (respectful, honest, considerate, self-motivated, can reliably work independently, works well under pressure, readily adapts to changing work priorities, is accountable)

• Excellent organization and prioritization skills

• Highly proficient in MS excel (sort, pivot tables, metrics)

• Demonstrates initiative, creativity and teamwork within the framework of the position responsibilities

• Written and Spoken English (minimum 80%)
