Volvo Group Accounting Manager in Tultitlán, Mexico

General Objective

Ensure that all financial statements and accounting reports are correct and in accordance with local legislation. Ensure that the BCS report is sent monthly, correct (according to the FPP) and within the term defined by the headquarter. This professional will be the expert in accounting issues and technical reference for the whole company.

Responsibilities

Guarantee the quality of all accounting reports.

Understand all company activities and ensure that all are properly reflected in accounting.

Main contact with external auditors. Provide information and verify the quality of work.

Review and approval of all accounting provisions.

Analysis of the Monthly Financial Statements as a way of ensuring that everything was properly reported.

Interface with the Lawyer and Fiscal Manager to understand and evaluate if all tax requirements are properly supported by accounting.

Guarantee the cut-off of sales in the financial statements.

Participate in the monthly meetings with the Finance Corporation and reflect in the accounting all the changes proposed in this meeting.

Ensure that the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable areas are generating correct figures and that their accounting records are in accordance with legal, fiscal and FPP rules.

Identify, record and control possible differences between local and managerial accounting.

Maintain contact with our financial support in Sweden.

Desired Education/Experience

  • University degree in Accounting, MBA or equal.

  • 10 years of accounting experience.

  • Fluent in English & Spanish, both written and spoken.
