Job Description:

  • Electrical Design Engineer Position will execute electrical design and test for circuits, solid state technology systems during design and development stages.

*Will be responsible of support product design and corresponding documentation in Altium, working on a R&D structure.

  • Knowledge of electrical design methodology and practices, test equipment, and some knowledge and experience on test engineering platforms such as LabVIEW.

  • Support on generate, follow and execute testing plans according to specified conditions defined by Senior Electrical Designers, verifying circuit function working alone or with other systems.

*Participation in product development, for some aspects of electrical design projects, including prototypes evaluation and qualification, supporting the product design process and working coordinated with mechanical engineers and industrialization engineers.

  • Participation in design reviews, verification, validation and laboratory test of new and existing products and benchmarking studies.

  • Capable to participate in technical projects development, demonstrating accountability for successfully and timely completion of assigned tasks and corresponding deliverables.

  • Ability to organize and write technical testing reports from test activities assigned, proactive, application of technical lessons observed, self-learning and self-motivated.

*Performs under a high behavior for the successful and timely completion of assigned design activities, deliverables and product cost targets.

*Support on plans projects definition for cost and scheduling in electrical design area and performs necessary work to accomplish specific task/team objectives within overall cost and schedule.

*Solves clearly defined problems limited to assignment activities and use of new techniques in problem solutions by evaluates and recommends technical solutions based on standard or accepted technical practices.

*Clear and continues communication within the R&D team members and product development team members from other departments for achieve deadlines.

*Participation at industrialization and process improvement activities during every project development.

*Document, follow up and implement lessons learned and participate on adequate distribution and application.

  • Is involved in providing technical support with relevant on field job have to work with manufacturer's representatives, regional sales managers, and customers for successful sales conversion.

  • Troubleshooting system applications on customer's request, resolving other engineering issues regarding systems application.

  • Analyzing technological problems in installed application systems, checking its technical resolution and working condition, and fixing the same if required.

Experience and Requirements:

-BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

2+ years of experience in new product development process.

2+ years of experience in product electrical design.

  • Knowledge in new product development, design and optimization of printed circuit boards, hands-on laboratory experience to test, and verify the performance of new designs and systems.

  • Knowledge of Circuit Design software, Altium is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Circuit Simulation software, Altium Simulation Suit is preferred.

  • Good communication, attitude and team work skills

  • Proficiency in English (85%), knowledge of MS Office

  • Excellent communication and team work skills.

  • U.S. Visa

Desired additional qualifications:

  • PDM background.

  • Green Belt Six Sigma knowledge/training.

  • Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processes, generation of BOM structures, and New Products introduction.

  • Some experience or knowledge in LabView programs for testing.
