Honeywell COMPRADOR MRO II in Tijuana, Mexico

Basic Responsibilities 1.This individual plans, schedules, places orders and administrates purchase orders to ensure quality material is delivered on time. 2.Negotiates best price, payment terms and lead-time available, utilizing standard sourcing tools (negotiation planner, eAuction, Preferred Supplier List, etc) 3.Maintains proper inventory levels per the Business Unit's order policies. 4.Plans and schedules purchase orders in accordance with the production requirements as shown on the ERP system (JBA, JDE, SAP, other). 5.Researches and provides constant feedback to department and management relative to material shortages and suppliers' capacity and capabilities. 6.Demonstrates an active commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Lead Time. 7.Resolve Invoice payment issues that suppliers have.

Other Responsibilities 1.Work with the Sourcing Leader(s) to create and maintain Weekly and Monthly Buyer Metrics Scorecards for various manufacturing sites. 2.Support Sourcing Leader(s) to create and maintain Sourcing Capacity Scorecards to identify Parts on Constraint and to aid strategic business decisions. 3.Use web-based tools to create reports for Supplier OTD, Product Demand Profiles, and Demographical Analysis of Suppliers. 4.Researches and provides constant feedback to department and management relative to Buyer & Suppliers performance, and Suppliers' Capacity and Capabilities. 5.Demonstrates an active commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of Quality, Delivery and Time with respect to operational excellence. 6.In addition to the tactical work, the scope of influence will be broadened as work begins directly with other Leaders in the organization. There are projects that will provide the opportunity to lead, interfacing with US based individuals, where accountability for timely planning and execution is required

Qualifications •Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in purchasing, preferably in the sourcing of indirect products and services; •Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience •Professional certifications in supply chain, procurement, quality or related fields preferred; •Proven experience in supplier negotiations including preparing and administering Long Term Agreements.

Skills required: • Strong and concisely communicating at all levels inside and outside the company; • Strong ability to lead, communicate and act in a multicultural and cross-functional environment - tough and sound negotiator • Action oriented with proven track record of achieving business goals • Team player • Strategic thinker; uses creative and innovative problem solving approach • Organized and computer literate (Microsoft office tools), advanced Excel skills preferred (pivot tables, v-look ups, etc.) • Must speak and read English (Professional level) • SAP experience is be a plus
