  • Essential Functions:

Responsible for obtaining indirect materials, equipment and services. Gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for commodities and specifically for Facilities Commodity. Evaluates vendor reliability, developing new supply sources where required. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to agree tooling and equipment needs to support Operations. Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Recommends cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.

Also responsible for meeting and desirable exceeding expectations in regards to the Indirect Procurement metrics, including but not limited to productivity, quality, delivery, savings project pipeline, consolidation of suppliers and driving the spend with TE´s preferred and strategic suppliers.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Specific minimum competencies required for job performance.

New graduate, one year of experience is a plus, in purchasing for electronics, aerospace and/or automotive industries, coordination of projects to improve processes and to drive Cost Savings, able to work under stress, organized, results oriented. Bilingual, or at least 85% of English written and spoken.

  • Minimum Qualifications: Minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job.

College degree in IE / Ing. Industrial, International Business.
