Syngenta Breeding Services in Sinaloa, Mexico

Purpo se The main activities of this position relate to facilitating and participating in the breeding strategies of the target market by managing processes, projects, operations, and data collection and analysis/summarization.

Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of seed samples for sending inside and outside of Syngenta according to material lists supplied by breeder; organizing seed shipments getting all required documentation.

  • Support breeding program by managing external and internal trial establishment.

  • Data collection from trials and update into internal database (Spirit).

  • Manage seed extraction, treatment and storage processes with a high level of organization.

  • Manage Crossing Block logistics

  • Keep seed inventory updated continuously.

  • Coordinate tissue sampling for molecular marker analysis;

  • Manage breeding database (Spirit) independently creating trials, materials, subplots, data export/import.

  • In coordination with the respective breeder evaluate the internal and external breederĀ“s trials collecting the required data of the different Breeding programs.

  • Attend the Hot Pepper and Tomato Pre-HPC Meetings;

  • Create, and manage trial records in Syngenta breeding databases.

  • Manage the Syngenta databases for seed inventory.

  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and perform quantitative statistical analysis.

  • University degree in horticulture, agriculture or related field.

  • With 2-5 years related experience

  • Trailing Experience.

  • Knowledge of vegetable industry and markets is a plus

  • High organization skills

  • People Management skills

  • Safety awareness

  • Database management (Ability to learn Spirit).

  • MS Office knowledge on good user level.
