Monsanto Tax Analyst in SANTA FE, Mexico
This position will be focus on the US GAAP Tax Accounting Compliance and will work closely with the STL Global/ International Tax Team and St Louis Shared Services teams.
The LAN Tax Accountant will therefore work closely with the region’s Center of Excellence and In-country Controllers/Finance representatives having the operational responsibility around Tax accounting and reporting for selected countries and will initiate projects and support the process improvements team around Tax reporting and Accounting across all businesses and establish cross functional links outside of finance as required.
Coordinating and delivering the monthly and /or quarterly tax reporting and forecasting submission to STL Corporate Headquarters. Including all US GAAP requirements
Collecting and assisting with the quantitative and qualitative variance analysis related to Corporate Income Taxes (CIT) and/or VAT for LAN Region’s entities
Assisting with the analysis of CIT and transfer pricing aspects associated with business initiatives, expansion and transactions
Researching CIT and VAT issues and keeping up to date with International tax developments in this area through internal network and selected external advisors
Assistance in performing financial / economic analyses and building financial valuation models for Income tax purposes
Assisting with audits / providing tax controversy support and serve as a LAN Regional analyst to assist with operational CIT and VAT issues
Liaise with regional finance organization , Global Tax other internal stakeholders (Supply Chain and Business) on tax accounting and reporting matter.
Develop and provide internal Tax Accounting & Reporting training (with External advisors)
Monitor impact of changing business processes on CIT and/or VAT compliance procedures
Assistance with and coordination of LAN CIT and/or VAT compliance in each local jurisdiction within LAN working closely with Local or Center based Controllers and Legal teams
Increase awareness of CIT and/or VAT impact within Monsanto LAN to optimize CIT and/or VAT end-to-end processes, reduce cost and risk areas and embrace cost saving opportunities and initiatives
Partner with Finance and IT organization, assure e-business solutions and automated tools are implemented where possible.
Experience & Skills Required
4- 5 years experience as Tax analyst,Tax Accounting and General Accounting knowledge
Experience as Tax Accounting and Reporting and One-Source system knowledge. Strong internal Tax controls skills to ensure accurate and complete reporting.
