Position Title: Trade Marketing Manager- Modern Channel
Location: Mexico City
Reports to: Trade Marketing Sr. Manager
We are looking for a skilled Sr. Trade Marketing Manager to educate, strategize and provide the organization with sales and marketing programs to increase the business. Through identification of channel-specific business-building opportunities as well as vertical market and direct/e-marketing opportunities build a business plan that would drive sales in commercial and ultimately retail. Work with the Customer Channel/Sales teams to deliver sales and profit results.
Develop rolling 12 mo. shared channel/vertical market plan with monthly calendar.
Work with Sales, SBUs, and Operations to identify, develop, commercialize, and implement specific programs (promotions, events, marketing materials, targeted sampling, flyers, and brochures).
Develop key sales kits to leverage sales resources.
Lead and manage the education of the organization on the importance of the highly profitable business.
Monitor merchandising plans via pre and post analysis to drive improvement.
Develop and execute launch plans and marketing strategies for new product introductions / launches.
Work with sales and SBUs to effectively leverage the full spectrum of promotional funds. (Market development, sales promotion, and product marketing budgets)
Develop and manage approved channel specific expense budgets.
Collect/develop and analyze sales reports (POS) and market feedbacks from internal sources, syndicated data and customer POS in order to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.
Work closely with SBU, customer, NAM and forecasting groups to execute and evaluate product forecasts.
Conduct competitive market analysis to formulate recommendations for an annual brand plan including advertising and promotional strategies.
Work with Account Manager and sales representatives in the field to gain knowledge of customer interaction and sales process.
Work on and lead projects assigned both individually or within a team environment.
Mentor associate and assistant channel managers.
Other duties as assigned.
BA degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis. MBA preferred.
At least 5 - 7 years of marketing and brand or channel management experience. Some sales experience a plus.
Significant knowledge of channels of distribution (Commercial, Retail, Superstores)
Experience with the creative development process and program execution
Experience with sales and marketing budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, promotional offers to drive sales
Highly organized and very strong, proven project management skills
Proven performance to create programs to pull through product through channel distribution (Commercial, Retail, Superstore)
Self-starter and able to work independently
Sound analytical skills and acute attention to details
Adept at creative thinking and problem solving
Able to work effectively across functions
Passionate about the business opportunity
