Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Scheduler for employment in the San Luis Potosi, Mexico City office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, cost and schedule (work breakdown structure) metrics and tools, collecting performance data (installed quantities, expended labor hours, and other progress measurements for direct hire and subcontract work), tracking data (daily cost compilation and monitoring), analyzing (earned value, productivity and risk analysis), and reporting

  • Identifies and tracks changes or potential changes to the project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility with the client and project management

  • Integrates cost and schedule data and reporting with the company’s accounting and management information systems to facilitate meeting company performance and financial goals

  • Assists in analyzing and using schedule data to identify key project issues

  • Able to develop CPM schedule logic. Extensive familiarity with the cornerstone scheduling system and ability to develop logic for elements of the engineering, procurement and construction process

  • Able to identify and assist in analysis of project schedule variances

  • Collects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and helps insure that project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications

  • Able to use drawings and specifications for schedule development

  • Assists in tracking subcontractor performance

  • Responsible for gathering and assembling data for schedule updating

  • Measures progress and reviews schedule performance

  • Supports monthly report preparation

  • Assists with creating and maintaining the baseline schedule

  • Supports cost analysis function through cross training

  • Participates in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues

  • Gathers data for procedure development

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction projects or operating industrial facilities in a planning and scheduling position

  • Computer proficient in MS Offic

  • Industrial construction experience

  • Automotive experience

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Knowledgeable of scope control and change management and associated implications to project scheduling

  • Knowledgeable in earned value methodology

  • Familiar with construction contracting and the scheduling implications of contract terms
