Job Title Plant Engineering Manager
Posting Location San Luis Potosi
Ensure machines, equipment & tooling (molds & drums) are in optimal working conditions to meet safety, quality & efficiency targets.
Optimize energy utilization in the tire manufacturing process.
Manage engineering projects to promote plant performance improvement.
Develop and implement human relations initiatives in engineering to improve teamwork and professional growth.
Promote benchmark and networking with other manufacturing facilities to share best practices.
Comply with government and corporate regulations in all matters of engineering.
Ensure planning of preventive & emergency maintenance activities contributes to obtain the maximum productive capacity by defining the work
method to be adopted by the maintenance team, proposing solutions,and training of the engineering team.
Manage budget of R&M accordingly to plant targets and annual forecast.
Promote initiatives to constantly reduce energy consumption, optimizing equipment and resources to sustain energy savings.
Coordinate preparation of annual investment program in plant, participating in the specification of the equipment and services to be acquired,
with proper involvement of Purchasing ensuring technical needs are achieved.
Control of fix assets under engineering responsibility.
Maximize team's competences & skills by actively supporting all HR initiatives.
Promote training considering technological changes.
Control financial resources defining engineering budget values, approving payment of invoices related to services provided by third parties.
Approval of requisitions for R&M and Capital Expenses.
Comply with all safety regulations, environmental, purchasing and government aspects related with Engineering & Maintenance.
Bachelors Degree in Engineering,
Master Degree in Science (or related) desired.
Cross-functional Experience: Has gained insight into different departments / functions / BUs (through projects or assignments). Has (ideally) 10 years experience in the relevant function.
Has successfully managed challenging times. Has demonstrated tenacity / persistence. Has a track record of success.
Applicable experience in Engineering & Maintenance, and HR development/ organizational development
Has successfully managed engineering and maintenance projects.
Has successfully steered an engineering and maintenance unit, with corporate relationships.
Has worked with various cultures e.g. in international projects
