Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Position Summary and Scope

This role will lead the strategic sourcing and procurement activities for the Waste Management & MRO categories (initial MRO focus will be on MRO services coordination and provider optimization) covering the NAFTA region, lead and support selected global initiatives, as well as manage the related global portfolio activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support progress, rollout & implement principals of Waste Management principles: Less Waste, Pay Less, Earn More by applying Elimination, Value Optimization, Transformation, and Sustainability drivers

  • Identify and develop best-in-class value propositions for waste management cost recovery initiatives

  • Identify in conjunction with operating units, viable areas to improve and optimize MRO services intersections and related service delivery.

  • Develop and maintain a disciplined process approach to MRO sourcing opportunities.

  • Scope, lead, participate, and implement stakeholder and BU drivenProjects.

  • Process and prepare the day-to-day operations and reporting obligations and presentation material

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Mechanical, Environmental

  • 5 – 10 years exp. of direct materials procurement and value chain optimization

  • Strong market understanding of waste management cost recovery optimization

  • Exposure to MRO services arena

  • Exposure to manufacturing

  • Category portfolio and project management

  • Commodities trading modalities, trade-financing instruments

  • Developed strategic, analytical, negotiation, contracting, and risk mitigation skills

  • Ability to establish positive sustainable relationships with suppliers andinternal customers

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
