Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Position Summary and Scope
Lead and/or support the creation and execution of strategy projects consistent with and in support of the regional business strategies
•Conduct all the pre-work necessary for a planning session
•The position makes sure that all numbers are correct, identifies issues and drives resolution
•Publish the one pager
•Weekly and monthly reports
•Make sure that Weekly/Monthly Operations and Plant reviews information is available
•Paste together plant reviews for key visitors (senior leadership)
•Work with assistants, chief of staff and or strategists to align agendas and discusses options with the PM
•Support the roadmap to achieve the regional and local initiatives
•Create metrics to ensure effective execution of the manufacturing strategy
•Good people skills
•Project management skills
•Great communication and leadership skills (written and oral with expertise in Power point presentations)
