The Global Operations team is a lean group within the Philips Color Kinetics organization managing Customer Order fulfillment, Planning , Logistics (warehousing and distribution) serving global customers and markets. The team has both global and regional responsibilities and works closely with our China and Mexico contract manufacturers to provide our customers the best experience.
You manage a team of 4 people, and report to Head of Global Operations PCK.
You collaborate with cross functional team in the company like Procurement Engineer/Commodity Team, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D, etc.; external you have contracted manufacture supplier to work with day to day to manage the supply performance.
You oversee and manage outsourced operations performance in Mexico, you play a key role in supporting industrial footprint & supply base optimization in line with business requirements. You will be responsible for
Customer order fulfillment on time in full
Supply management, incl. supplier performance monitoring/assessment, supply base strategy development together with Commodity Team/Procurement
Quality Control and Assurance
Support new product development programs with quality industrialization
Sustain existing products in mass production
Cost reduction via Design for X program
Administration, team management, finance/accounting, and IT
Manage contracted manufacturing supplier and ties of suppliers to deliver orders with reliability and responsiveness .Support & drive optimization of industrial process with the respective manufacturing partners. Coordinate engineering & improvement projects through partner resources to meet operational and cost improvement objectives. Continuously improve on cost of Non-quality, productivity, customer service & inventory level.
University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or similar background with at least 5 years management experience.
Rich experience in manufacturing & industrial Operations management
Excellent communication skills, both downward and upward in the organization, as well as towards business partners
Experienced in driving fast and effective root cause / problem solving with supplier for output & quality issues + escalation
Able to apply advanced industrial principles towards continuous improvement
Self-motivator & strong ownership, drive for result.
Lean certified is nice to have
