What You’ll Do

*Designs, plans and performs parts, assemblies or product appearance, dimension and functionality verifications according to the inspection plans, engineering standards, programming, using medium complex measuring systems.

*Plans, develops and reports process quality audits.

*Investigates audit findings related issues. Gathers and keeps data regarding investigations.

*Gathers and analyzes databases, draws conclusions, summarizes reports, suggests and implements corrective actions to improve or solve low- medium complex problems.

*Acts as a liaison between quality organization and all other areas as well as being the main contact for Quality Paint Issues with other IJD Units.

*Follows-up on the accomplishment of corrective and preventive actions.

*Assists in reporting and following-up on the disposition of non- conformance material.

*Performs special investigations of low-medium complexity quality problems to get data, find root causes, suggest and implement solutions or engineering changes.

*Assists supervisor in coordinating work direction of wage inspectors.

*Lead problem solving meetings for operative incidences.

What It Takes

*Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

*Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerances. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

*Understanding of specification systems and decision release systems. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

*Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics. (Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.)

*Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques. (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans.) (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

*Knowledge of industry standards for dimension and tolerances, weld symbols, etc. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.)

*SPC Knowledge.

*Paint process understanding.


*English Language, Written and Spoken 70%.

*Paint as a Process Understanding.

*Assembly as a Process Understanding.

*Experience with assembly manufacturing tools.

*Operator Method Sheets (OMS) and Sequence of Events (SOE) understanding.


*Required Advanced Engineering Career (Started) with experience in paint and assembly process.

*Desired Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. (Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent)).
