Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Import/Export Manager or Supervisor, the Trade Compliance Coordinator is responsible for performing a broad range of activities to support import /export operations and the compliance of the maquiladora.This is an entry level position.The candidate will have some experience with Imports, Exports, NAFTA, inventory management, internal audits, discharges, and overall business processes for trade compliance operations.The Trade Compliance Coordinator has a vital role in properly supporting Ingersoll Rand and providing outstanding customer service to internal stakeholders.


-Coordinate daily imports and exports

-Follow-up on assignment of HTS classification

-Register part numbers in the system (indirect, raw materials, finished goods and fixed assets).

-Coordinate the import and export of materials (indirect, raw materials, parts and returns (MRO).

-Receive and review the load sheet on a daily basis (import layout).

-Create the import invoices for raw material and export invoices for finished goods.

-Coordinate prioritization of shipments with the Planning department (urgent shipments).

-Ensure correct application of free trade agreements by HTS and pedimento.

-Send daily list to the Customs Broker of the import invoices sent electronically via interface.

-Maintain a daily register of the invoices in the Annex 24 Customs System (I-Xport).

-Monthly reporting of metrics.

-Review receipts in Oracle for payment of various suppliers (Customs Brokers).

-Payment of Customs Brokers and Suppliers

-Physical inventory of Custom Broker’s warehouse


Education: Undergraduate degree in business, law, trade or related area

Experience: 1-2 years direct trade compliance experience

Skills: Entry-level experience and knowledge of maquiladora operations including but not limited to - IMMEX, NAFTA, PROSEC, VUCEM, VAT certification, international trade regulations, duties, experience in ISO, electronic filing, generation of reports, reconciliation, creation and review of databases. Knowledge of ERP and Annex 24 systems.

Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, technical drawings, Oracle, I-Xport, English 100% oral / written
