Johnson Controls Director Talent Acquisition - Latin America in Nuevo León, Mexico
*Director, Talent Acquisition – LATAM *
What you will do* Reporting to the VP, Global Talent Acquisition, the Director Talent Acquisition Latin America will be responsible for managing the talent acquisition center of expertise (COE) in the Latin America region. This role will work closely with our enterprise HR operations organization (Shared Service Center), the HRBP organization and other enterprise COEs in order to achieve talent needs as driven by our business, customer expectations and growth objectives.
In this role, you will be centralizing our TA COE team in Latin America and implementing our global standards in process and execution. The next few years will require significant change management and business development activities.
How you will do it • Manages a highly productive geographically and organizationally dispersed recruiting team, providing leadership and daily/weekly direction. • Coordinates Talent Acquisition activity across the Latin America region to include direct or indirect functional coordination of the Staffing teams located in various countries within the Latin America region. • Leverages metrics to monitor and enhance the team's performance. • Develops performance goals and motivates the team to exceed expectations • Identifies key sourcing channels, developing and implementing creative sourcing strategies where appropriate. • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with key internal clients, hiring managers, candidates and external community organizations to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility. • Informs Senior Leadership team of trends in the marketplace and presents both sourcing and talent acquisition strategies to help grow at an aggressive pace. • Assures compliance with all regulatory/legal requirements and company policies. • Manages regional external staffing vendors (e.g., sourcing job boards and other sources). • Provides strategic direction, staffing expertise, advice and counsel to senior management and all levels within the organization on a variety of staffing issues. • Ideally this position sits in Monterrey, MX but we are open to locations in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Chile-Region Metropolitana de Santiago
What we look for • A minimum of 15 years of experience in the recruiting or talent acquisition function with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership level required. Prior experience in the top talent acquisition role is preferred. • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. • Broad experience/knowledge of all related HR functions with significant experience involving staffing, compensation, employee relations, and laws/regulations. • Ability to develop creative solutions and drive effective organizational change, within complex, global organizations. • A strong customer focus and the ability to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence and confidence. • Exceptional relationship management ability. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including above average written and speaking English skills. • Proven success in a high volume, fast paced and growth oriented environment. • Advanced skills maximizing Applicant Tracking Systems, general reporting systems and high proficiency with MS Office. • Extremely high attention to detail. Excellent planning, organizing and follow through abilities. • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and remain focused under pressure. • Outstanding analytical and assessment skills. • Fluency in English and Spanish, knowledge or proficiency in Portuguese a plus.
