Job Description

The Quality Engineer in process is responsible of maintaining and improving the quality process metrics (FPY, DPMO, rework %, blocked stock & scrap) by coordinating systematic preventive projects to meet with company KPIs and Customer scorecards and to comply with the quality system.

This Job Description is not limited to any other job related activities that might arise.

  1. Coordinate efforts and improvements in the processes with quality auditors and analyzers.

  2. Follow up and improve quality to achieve goals (DPMO, FPY, Jidoka, Rework, Scrap and ppms).

  3. Analyze statistical data to promote and apply corrective actions.

  4. Report and follow up issues with nonconformance material.

  5. High ability to perform trainer function to teach other people problem solving techniques.

  6. Coordinate, create, and close 8Ds before of 20 days and according to Continental requirements.

  7. Along with the Quality Supervisors, responsible to schedule Internal In­Process Quality Audits.

  8. Coordinate supplier changes validations as PCNs, PTNs and DAs.

  9. Implement improvement projects for internal KPIs.

  10. Keep updated the documents as WI, FM, CP, and PFMEA in the quality system.

  11. Perform daily activities as R­PFMEA exercises and monitor and Jidoka performance in production lines.

  12. Good communication skills written and spoken to develop reports such A3, Project status, etc.

Job Requirements Industrial or Electronic Engineering career; English written/Spoken 80%. Green belt certification.
