Job Title Quality Engineer Sr
Posting Location Nogales
The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintain and improve the quality process metrics. Provide follow up to customers complaints, and keep scorecards according to company goals.
Complete all procedures and activities during new products introductions according to APQP and PLC.
Coordinate efforts and improvements with the InProcess Auditor team Supervisors.
Follow up and improve quality to achieve goals (DPMO,FPY, Jidoka, Reparation, Scrap and ppms).
Analyze statistical data to promote and apply corrective actions
Report and follow up issues with nonconformance material.
Get involved in internal y external audits (TS/QS9000)
Coordinate, create, and close 8Ds before of 20 days and according to CAPS.
Along with the Quality Supervisors, responsible to schedule Internal InProcess Quality Audits.
Coordinate supplier changes validations as PCNs, PTNs and DAs.
Implement projects that improve the internal KPIs.
Keep updated the documents as WI, FM, CP, PFMEA in the sys9000 system.
Perform daily activities as daily pills, update 0km tracker list, monitor customer portals and monitor the quality metrics application.
Ensure, along with the Quality Supervisors, that nonconformances identified during the audits are properly documented and the process owners initiate corrective actions.
Follow up, along with the Quality Supervisors, to all corrective actions to ensure they were effective to eliminate the cause of the nonconformances.
Disposition of material on hold, MRB, RTMX and JIT on time.
Ensure prompt disposition is provided When a discrepant product is identified in the process.
Coordinate validations for new equipment or changes in the process as well as with the customer.
Electronic & Mecathronic Engineering career; English written/Spoken 90%.
Good knowledge of the Problem Solving techniques (5P or 8D). Knowledge in statistical concepts. Understanding of quality tools (charts, pareto, histograms, control charts, ppm charts, etc). knowledge of electronic assembly workmanship and quality standards.
