Schneider Electric is recruiting for an IT Application Support person within the Information, Process and Organization North America Region.

Job Description

Support theField Services business, responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and small enhancements to theField Services application software.

  • Troubleshoot issues which come in from the Service Desk

  • First level support for the application base

  • Perform maintenance tasks to keep the system performing well

  • Work with other team members to provide support

  • Communicate with business to understand issues, confirm solutions

  • Run/monitor background tasks and processes

  • Monitor the issue queue and respond within SLA

  • Code, test and deploy small enhancement projects request by Field Services Business

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the IT field

  • Degree in the IT field or Business

  • experience in services field a plus but not required

Skills

  • Development skills in PowerBuilder

  • HTML / Web development

  • SQL skills including SQL Server (administration and development)

  • Oracle database skills including Oracle application server

  • Cobol on UNIX and Mainframe including Unix Scripts and Mainframe JCL

  • Sybase database skills

  • MQ working knowledge

  • .NET and XML skills

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Business knowledge of Field Service industry

  • Fluent written and spoken English
