The Financial Analyst position is part of the Intellectual Property Finance Team which provides financial reporting and is responsible for financial contractual compliance of Honeywell’s different type of Contracts such as Trademark, Service Center, Enforcement, etc. The purpose of this role is to support the four different Strategic Business Groups (Aerospace, Home and Building Technologies, Safety and Productivity Solutions and Performance Materials and Technologies) in terms of Intellectual Property by performing data analysis and desk audits.
Main Responsibilities: • Provide Data Analysis; create and design research projects for the Audit Team in order to generate Audit opportunities. • Participate on the Royalty Payment Process by verifying the reports with Licensee and Royalty Analyst in order to identify the existence of any gaps within reported amounts and Conditions of the Contract. • Provide support to Licensing Auditors by generating Payment History Summaries or any other Finance related data. • Execute desk audit projects of Intellectual Property contracts held by Honeywell IP Finance by reading and interpreting contracts and analyzing data to determine findings or violations. • Participate in a variety of projects for the four SBGs as assigned by management or according to business needs. • Maintain professional and open relationships with IP Finance staff, Business unit staff and within the business and with Licensee's who are being audited. • Identify issues and propose alternatives to contract language, and opportunities for improvement in processes.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar. • 2 to 3 years experience in finance or contracts. • English 90% • Knowledge of Excel (advanced level)
Preferred Qualifications: • Good understanding of data analysis techniques. • Ability to read and interpret contracts. • Understanding of financial systems and accounting principles. • Strong analytical skills and ability to gather information and apply judgment. • Experience with Oracle & SAP is highly desirable • High degree of interpersonal communication written and oral in English and Spanish. • Accuracy in work and strong attention to detail • Ability to work in a team environment. • Independent, self-starter, with a strong work ethic.
