BAE Systems Hardware Engineer - Guaymas, Mexico in Mexico, Mexico
BAE Systems is seeking a talented Hardware Engineer to join our team. In this role you will provide onsite engineering support to include; managing the product test definition and reliability/quality investigation projects at the Guaymas, Mexico Operations location.
Provide hardware engineering support while mentoring less experienced engineers on the essentials of thorough investigation methods and procedures towards determination of root cause and corrective action.
Coordinate activities and establish one's self as the focal point contact in Guaymas for Endicott Engineering during critical product investigation and/or qualification activities performed on transitioned products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; maintenance of engineering procedures (to include functional test requirements), providing engineering leadership, analyzing, improving and controlling product test yields using six-sigma methods; providing engineering interpretation of engineering procedures, drawings and specifications to ensure production assemblies remain in compliance to both internal and external customer requirements; and collaborate with Quality Engineering on suspect non-conformances utilizing MRB procedures and practices. Provide the engineering interface between offsite HW Design engineering and onsite Production Test engineering with a Lean Manufacturing/DFSS mindset to strive for defect reduction, while improving the product test yields and overall throughput of the final product and its subassemblies. Provide engineering support during the development and integration phases on new product development project.
The selected candidate must be willing to relocate to the Guaymas, Mexico area for a period of at least 2 years.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and minimum 3 years experience
Electronics troubleshooting (analog, digital)
Experience using test and analysis instrumentation (spectrum, bus and logic analyzers, digital oscilloscope, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to investigate complicated electronics to RCCA
Demonstrated statistical process knowledge and use of statistical techniques.
Ability to interpret functional test requirement specifications and provide technical support to Operations and Test Equipment Engineering.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
