SVP-VP Power Project Development Manager
Client, Account and Affiliate Origination and Management
Location(s) Where Opening Is Available Mexico
This role will support the GE Energy Financial Services (EFS) Global Markets Development team in identifying, structuring and closing power project development opportunities that support the sale of GE industrial equipment in the Energy sector as well as creating investment options for GE EFS.
Originate/source new development opportunities consistent with and supporting GE Industrial strategic plans.
Lead project(s) due diligence and partner joint development agreement negotiations.
Structure partnerships to maximize equipment pull through, development return and customer satisfaction with an eye on creating EFS investment opportunities.
Champion screened deals within organization while accurately communicating critical elements of deal progress, economics and risks to leadership team throughout process.
Lead/participate in project-related contract negotiations, including PPAs, BOP, land lease and grid interconnection agreements if required.
Formulate and implement project development plans and manage development budgets within the JV strategy and business plan.
Maintain partnership responsibility.
Coordinate with other GE stakeholders, including GE Industrial, EFS Legal, Environmental, Technical and EHS to ensure GE buy-in.
Ensure coordination of all deals w/ risk review processes and stakeholders.
Perform financial pro-forma evaluation of projects.
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in an infrastructure development environment, including deal structuring/execution of complex financial products, strategic alliance negotiation experience and capital markets exposure with proven energy industry experience
A track record of evaluating and executing development deals in the energy industry
Experience evaluating and negotiating legal documentation
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Bachelor's degree in finance or business or an engineering degree in environment, energy or equivalent.
MBA or other relevant Masters degree
A strong originator with significant examples of proven successful deal origination and success; established client network across sector/industry
Skilled communicator who is capable of influencing a wide range of audience via balanced approach to deals and a clear understanding/presentation of risks
Ability to solicit interest and champion unique approaches/original solutions and formulate those ideas into a transactional strategy and build concrete executable transactions
Proven ability to build/maintain strong relationships (internally and externally) while coordinating multiple tasks/priorities
