Amazon.com.mx is seeking a proven, well-rounded, Senior Product Manager for our Import Team. The Senior Product Manager is an expert on buying, planning and logistics. The ideal candidate must be able to leverage this expertise to articulate and advocate initiatives for business and customer experience improvement, while working across North American retail, operations and technology teams to implement new features and functionality. The Senior Product Manager is also highly analytical, adaptable and enjoys the intellectual challenge associated with learning, launching, and evolving new business models.
As a PM on this team, you will be responsible for driving strategy and engaging with launch partners across tech teams to scope and build new processes and systems. You will be a key player in strategic planning, defining business requirements, project execution, and launch. Responsibilities include: collecting of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, helping technical and operational teams convert those requirements into new processes and systems, and driving those teams to launch.
The ideal candidate will have:
Ability to think both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast paced environment
Proven analytical skills, high excel proficiency, and strong process improvement skills
Strong leadership background in buying/planning, product management, retail merchandising, operations or financial analysis with a proven history of owning/driving results
Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects: work prioritization, planning, task delegation and hitting deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
Strong writing and speaking skills
Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools
Bachelor's Degree required
4+ years of relevant retail or business leadership experience
3+ years of project, product or program management experience.
Fluency and comfort with business applications such as Word, Excel and Project
Fluency in English and Spanish (written and oral)
Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss strategic business concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas.
