Purpose and Objectives – Solutioning Center Business Architect

  • The senior Solutioning Center Archtect must drive SAP solutions and act as the interface between customer requirements and SAP Service and Support solutions. It assumes an active role for SAP customers and Service and Support Area efficiently, providing the best solutions and products.

  • This is a role for a highly respected and senior resource with strong product knowledge and deep implementation experience, capable of designing, driving and rationalising solutions to support customer outcomes (principal consultant / solution architect ideal).The Solutioning Center Architect role is focused on supporting Service and Support sales opportunities in cooperation with the Bid Management team and SAM. The Solutioning Center Architects form the Regional Solutioning Center team.

  • The main focus of this position is to:

  • Provides Industry expertise to identify Service and Support Portfolio Items including cross topics

  • Orchestrates the Solutioning Process for Solutioning Center relevant opportunities

  • Drives the high level requirements assessment and coordinates “on demand” subject matter experts to work on detailed Scoping and Solutioning

  • Formulate the solution details including timelines, approach, scope, risks and assumptions.

  • Identifies Scope Options and Portfolio Items from all (global) Units (services and support)

  • Evolves Innovation Roadmap and Value Map

  • Provides high level Estimation (costing and list pricing)

  • Supports the Risk Mgmt and Bid Council in the MU

  • With those effective activities in place, this person will align, integrate and coordinate efforts between SAP local, regional and global teams increasing bid quality resulting in less iterations, higher win rate and reduced cost of Sales.

Expectations and Tasks Solutioning Center Business Architect

  • Orchestrate the overall solution to meet the customer requirements, addressing solution and implementation approach, completing effort, cost estimates for the proposed solution leveraging, and coordinating input from other Solutioning team members and subject matter experts as required. Formulate the solution details including timelines, approach, scope, risks and assumptions. Take into account various delivery options considering, scope, cost, quality and risk.

  • Act as main point of Contact for the organization and overall design of the solution bid response for a customer opportunity as the Solutioning Lead. Actively drive effort estimates from other contributors, either within the team or from other subject matter experts in relevant lines of service and delivery units within SAP.

  • Design the most competitive and profitable solution, aligned with the SAP Services Strategy, with the lowest possible risk (including risk mitigation plan). The Business Solution Architect is expected to be able to design, drive and communicate the rationale of the solution designed to support customer outcomes (scope, approach and value proposition).

  • Provide input to the services sales strategy for each opportunity, acting as part of the overall bid team.

  • Communicate and coordinate with other knowledgeable resources including Delivery, Practice Leads, other MU Solutioning Team members, Lines of Service and Industry experts as necessary to ensure delivery feasibility.

  • Communication and handover of the solution design to the project delivery team, supporting the initial stage of project execution. In the early stages of a project this may include an active coaching role to the consultants regarding the proposed approach and solution.

  • Use and grow your SAP contact network to aid the execution of role responsibilities and outcomes.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Administration or Computer Science required. MBA or Master degree is desirable

  • 5 - 8 years of experience on SAP solutions as consultant

  • Strong planning, organizing and coordinating abilities demonstrating a keen understanding of customer needs

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish.

  • Proactive and interest in learning new solutions and business practices.

  • 30 % Availability for travel

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge on SAP solution

  • Knowledge on SAP Archetecture x Business Process

  • At least 5 years of experience implementing SAP ERP

  • BID Process knowledge is deseable
