S&P Global is seeking an individual to join its team as a Rating Analyst. We are seeking an individual with some working experience and knowledge of financial institutions to follow a portfolio of small credits. This position will give the successful candidate the opportunity to embrace a fast learning analytical job in an international working environment. The role is based in Mexico City.
The primary role will be to undertake credit analysis on financial institutions within Latam. The candidate will maintain and enhance the quality and timeliness of Standard & Poor's analysis. It encompasses the potential to quickly gain an understanding of Standard & Poor’s rating methodology, policies and procedures as well as knowledge of quantitative and qualitative aspects of Financial Services analysis.
We are seeking a professional that can contribute strongly to a team environment which stimulates continuous innovation and highest customer service standards. The role requires the candidate to communicate internally and externally with a professional voice. This will require the candidate to enjoy strong communication skills to develop and maintain relationships.
We are looking for a candidate that has related experience in a financial institution, accounting or consulting firm specialized in financial institutions, or a financial institutions’ regulator. Knowledge of Risk Management and - or Regulatory Capital areas will be highly valuable.
University degree graduate
Fluency in English
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of the financial markets and accounting principles.
Knowledge of accounting principles for banks and insurance companies
Proven analytical skills
