Honeywell Latin America Sales Account Manager in Mexico City, Mexico
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Honeywell has an immediate need for an Account Manager, Latin America. This position will be located in Mexico and will cover Latin America focusing on Mexico and Brazil. This role in the Fine Chemicals business will cover sales to both new and existing customers with a strong focus on hunting for new opportunities. The ideal candidate should have strong desire to execute with a mindset toward growth and development of new business. The role will also include probing to identify new opportunities, delivering a compelling value proposition to multiple functions within the customer organization and forecasting of customer requirements. This role will focus efforts on a number of diverse end use markets.
Sales Responsibilities: • Responsible for revenue/volume/profitability targets in Latin America. • Hunt for new sales opportunities for existing product portfolio as well as manage existing business. • Develop a robust sales opportunity pipeline to drive new growth opportunities and turn opportunities into sales. • Coordinate customer qualification process with multiple functions at both the customer and at Honeywell. • Conduct price negotiations and manage customer Sales Agreements. • Provide a monthly 18 month rolling product forecast for all customers and distributors.
Field Marketing Responsibilities: • Assess market trends, technical developments and the competitive environment through discussions with targeted customers. • Develop an account plan for target accounts aligned with revenue and volume growth objectives. • Contribute to the organization's knowledge of markets and key segments. • Lead new product introduction/promotion in Latin America utilizing cross functional teams when necessary.
Basic Qualifications • Bachelor Degree in relevant field • 5 years experience in a customer facing role, B2B sales and/or account management • Ability to travel up to 75% within Latin America. • Fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese languages is preferred
Additional Qualifications • B.S. or advanced degree in chemical engineering, or chemistry is preferred • 5 years experience in the chemical or laboratory reagent industry • Experience selling laboratory and/or fine chemicals is preferred • Proven track record in hunting for new business with a sense of urgency to meet goals • Demonstrated success in profitably growing a sales territory or product line • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Ability to understand customer needs: Voice of Customer (VOC) & Quality Functional Deployment (QFD) • Ability to market/sell products and services at multiple levels within an organization and to multiple functions • Ability in analyzing industries, developing marketing and sales plans and following up on the execution • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including formal presentation skills and written visit reports • Demonstrated ability to work in a virtual office environment with proven results and in a team environment as needed
