Amazon.com Head of RO&I - Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico

Amazon’s North America Expansion team is looking for a data-driven leader, willing to think big and invent & simplify, as we continue to scale our growth in Mexico. As the Head of RO&I for Mexico, you will have an opportunity to work with one of Amazon’s newest and fastest growing marketplace, to help develop local e-commerce and delight customers with lower prices on their favorite products. You will have an opportunity to influence and partner with business, operations, and technology teams across the business to drive initiatives that will aim to improve vendor and customer experience. This is a highly visible cross-functional role that interacts regularly with senior leaders across several teams and requires thought leadership in shaping sustainable growth strategies for these markets.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Driving the creation of scalable vendor education projects that will help to develop local eCommerce

  • Leading the development of a local operational team that will help Amazon achieve scalability in the vendor life-cycle

  • Representing RO&I in Mexico as the primary link between local retail leadership and the Central team

  • Socialize the project road-map, collect leadership feedback, and maintain momentum on local projects

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Fluency in English and Spanish

  • 3+ years of experience working in consulting, retail, or technology industry

  • Experience developing, launching, and managing projects

  • Ability to analyze and propose data-driven solutions; 3-5 years with proficiency in Excel

  • MBA Degree

  • SQL experience

  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

  • Ability to prioritize effectively to manage multiple, changing priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems - in particular, identifying customer/vendor needs and inventing new and efficient ways to meet those needs
