The Business developer for the automotive industry is responsible to ensure the achievement of Sales objectives and penetration for the related products on the Automotive Market Center. She / He must assure marketing plans are built and implemented among the automotive industry market. The collaboration with other areas include responsibilities about pricing strategy (Product P&L, pricing homologation among OEM’s & main Tiers, project follow up, new products deployment & understanding among sales force). This person also provides the division with industry information (Opportunity and customer identification / prioritization, competitive activities, account mapping, penetration per unit, market trends, market statistics, sales analysis) and develops the right Marketing Strategies needed to succeed at the Automotive Industry
His / Her areas of responsibilities include promoting the 3M brand at the Automotive Industry (Auto OEMs, Automotive tiers, ) through brand awareness events and strategies: Technical Shows, Catalogs, Samples & Sampling boxes, e-marketing, sales tool (videos, flyers, technical descriptions) The exploration, identification, development and implementation of new business opportunities as well as new service models for the Automotive Industry are also part of her responsibilities.
He/She must be leading new product launches and make sure the proper training, documentation and training is given to the sales force. In order to achieve this, he/she must work with other divisions marketing departments to develop market specific launch packages based on the business intelligence activities, such as plant mapping, competitive intelligence and customer feedback.
This person works closely with 3M's automotive industry sales force, sales managers, and business manager to identify added value propositions and identifying the best ways to communicate 3M brand values and promises.
