BlackRock opened its office in Mexico City in 2009 after acquiring BGI and has become the leading international asset manager in the country. iShares by BlackRock has been the leading ETF provider in Mexico since 2006. Currently there are 217 iShares in Mexico including 13 locally listed ETFs, offering exposure to major asset classes.

The business in Mexico has moved from foundation-building to accelerated growth in the asset management and the ETF business to its current position of seeking to rapidly build the ETF platform to cover different ETF asset and client segments, and to grow the institutional and retail businesses. We are looking for a Sales Relationship Manager to help us lead this growth. This individual will be part of a team of sales professionals, and will aid to continue setting the strategic direction of the iShares Institutional strategy and continue to grow the business through development of strategic partnership and sales relationships. In all of these areas, the RM will work closely with Mexican and regional BlackRock business leaders. The position will report to the Head of Sales for iShares Institutional Mexico, and will be based in Mexico

Role Overview

The ideal candidate is an experienced, credible and persuasive business person and leader with an inherent ability to partner with people from different cultures and build long term business relationships. An individual with unquestionable ethics and value, the ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of how a world class global Asset Management organization with a dominant local business presence can continue to grow an innovate within the Mexican market place. The candidate will continue to set up the foundation and growth path for the Institutional business, keep a close relationship at the highest client level and influence the institutions investment heads by providing them with essential information.

Responsibilities

Support the establishment of a business that consistently delivers tangible benefits and sales that positions BlackRock as the market leader in the ETF industry in Mexico and as a rapidly growing local asset manager and institutional investment solutions provider for the largest institutional investors and intermediaries in Mexico

Rapidly grow our relationships with Pension Funds, Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Corporations, Government Entities and other counterparties at senior levels

Meet sales goals for assigned clients

Call on Institutional clients/prospects in order to support the growth in their business through the use of iShares

Deliver sales presentations, seminars and meetings with clients/prospects.

Develop client-oriented content, interacting with the sales strategy and trading support team

Work with iShares and BlackRock’s Institutional Sales Teams in order to maximize client coverage and service

Skills & Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Engineering with an advanced degree (CFA or MBA preferred)

English and Spanish proficiency are required (written and verbal)

Broad business acumen across numerous disciplines – sales and business development primarily – as well as extensive investments experience

Strong influencing capability based on industry knowledge, experience and credibility

Gain the trust of senior business leaders; a committed, happy, friendly, self-started and energetic person while analytical, a good thinker and reflective. Value driven and with a consultative mind set

Experience working in an execution driven environment

Champion an attitude of entrepreneurial decision making; lead through example with aggressive management throughout sales and business development

Extensive knowledge of the Mexican Financial System, with focus onInstitutional Investors preferred
