Administrator Assistant

Purpose Of Role:

  • Responsible for providing first level administrative support within a department.

  • Performs routine administrative tasks according to established processes and procedures.

  • Principal responsibilities will include some or all of the following: Travel bookings; Maintaining up to date filing and reference systems; Co-ordination of departmental events; Tracking attendance, annual leave, sick absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decision making is normally on a day to day basis within defined limits prescribed by line management.

  • Diary management/travel bookings/expenses tracking;Organisation of logistics for management meetings, preparation of documents and agendas; Maintaining up to date filing and reference systems;Co-ordination of departmental events and programmes; Responsibility for management of business unit intranet and content;

Qualifications:

Typically: High School or certification in a administrative role or working towards this.

Skills/Experience:

  • Relevant experience gained in an administrative role in business.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Will be skilled in the use of a wide variety of business software applications.
