Job Title: Sales Manager PHHC North LATAM

Reports To: Business Director PHHC North LATAM

Summary of Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to provide commercial leadership ensuring sustained growth of profitable sales which are aligned with our areas of market focus. To achieve this, further development of an effective sales and marketing strategy will be critical along with the continued development of a high performance, value oriented team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Drive organizational design, development and evolution to align with business strategy.

  • Manage all sales activities for a geographically dispersed team.

  • Foster a solutions-based, value selling culture with direct reports and customers.

  • Responsible for achieving targets for regional sales revenue, volume, material margin, gross profit and UOI.

  • Manage the development and effectiveness of the customer impact statements in the region.

  • Manage direct accounts, inside sales accounts, and distributors.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with key customers.

  • Gather spoken and unspoken needs through voice-of-customer interviews.

  • Identify, assess and secure new sales opportunities.

  • Maximize current positions of strength by focusing on profitable growth areas.

  • Establish plans to address value solutions.

  • Support product rationalization process, when appropriate.

  • Constructively engage with other functions to provide superior customer service.

  • Management of price adjustments campaings.

  • Work closely with marketing and product platform on value pricing all current and future solutions in accordance with global divisional initiatives and regional market conditions and needs.

  • Continue driving mindset transition from selling products to selling solutions

  • Assess/optimize channels to market.

  • Regular communication to team members, internal partners and business management regarding business development, competition activity and market trends.

  • Management of the project pipeline. Projects prioritization and right resources assignment.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field or Bachelors degree with Business with 10 years of professional sales experience.

  • 90% of comprehension, speaking and writing of English idiom.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, at least 5 years of specialty chemical experience (cosmetic and pharma industry).

  • Experience in managing people.

  • Willingness and ability to travel more than 50% of the time .

  • Demonstrated abilities and successes in implementing new product, solution, technology and value selling programs.

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization and develop relationships with internal partners including customer service, supply chain, product management and demand management.
