EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to understand the specific needs and being able to translate those requirements into a comprehensive solution.
Turn complex business requirements into feasible technical solutions.
Must be able to lead and provide guidance to other team members to ensure overall delivery of customer specific solution implementations for Business Intelligence domains.
Be able to articulate roadmap of SAP products & solutions around BI strategy.
The candidate is required to actively engage in the preparation, conception, realization and Go Live of customer implementation projects. In addition, the candidate is expected to be able to perform feasibility studies and process design reviews, project assessments, support pre-sales activities, as well as define detailed blueprint for development requirements, driven to SAP BW on HANA or native HANA solutions.
The candidate should have led blueprint/design and realization phases for at least two BW implementations.
Have an appetite to acquire new knowledge, adapt to and contribute to fast innovating software business and emerging technologies.
Ability to assist customer in designing BI strategies for their SAP on premise and Cloud environment(s).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in technical, business and user-friendly language.
Ability to handle one or more projects simultaneously.
Flexibility to travel is a must.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Graduate / post graduate Degree from a well know and accredited university or institution, preferably in Information Technologies or Computer Science.
Combination of business and technical education is preferred.
Strong conceptual design and analytics capabilities with an ability to balance theory and practical reality.
Strong problem-solving capabilities in complex, multi-vendor computing environments.
Solid oral and written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation capabilities, especially in driving consensus among senior technical resources.
Certification in SAP solutions preferred.
Fluent in English (at business level) and in one of the following: Spanish, Italian or French or Portuguese.
Detailed knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse (7.0 or higher) approaches/concepts, Best Practices and Standards.
Experience in BI-IP (integrated planning) capabilities.
Experience in ABAP programming and SQL.
Overall, the candidate must have 5 years’ experience and at least 4 years’ experience in BW solutions with at least 2 full cycle implementations.
Experience using Business Warehouse (7.0 or higher) software.
Experience working with customers to define requirements and identify data management solutions.
Able to work with client to define and execute strategies around these concepts from both a business process and technology perspectives.
Implementation Experience of BW in key domains such as Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, etc.
Experience in BI tools using SAP and non-SAP solutions.
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
Hands on experience:
Implementing HANA solutions
Data integration to cloud based applications
Data integration for analytics or Big Data applications
Experience installing and using Business Objects tools (Webi, Design Studio, Lumira, Business Objects Cloud).
Experience designing, architecting, and implementing database solutions, including data warehouse and data modeling, for any database (Oracle, Sybase, Teradata, HANA).
