Avnet, Inc. Supply Chain Program Manager in JAL, Mexico
Supports the Sales Teams through facilitation of strategic initiatives to ensure ongoing flawless customer service, operational efficiencies and increased profitability at higher complexity customer supply chain engagements (IPS, OPS, high complexity VMIs, kitting/turnkey etc.) that drive improved customer service, inventory utilization, and operational excellence. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:
Works primarily with customers with complex forecasts to ensure forecast is processed correctly, including netting requirements, planning parameters, and resolves forecast variances and accuracy.
Optimize the timing of inventory requirements through analysis of customer forecasts by bill of materials and the application of in-depth knowledge of supplier product lead-time.
Resolves issues related to logistics, customer service, and process execution
Monitors and analyzes customer details regarding supply chain performance and/or status, and communicates as applicable to sales and the customer communicating, recommended changes to planning parameters for AMPS Planning Tool.
Manages ongoing updates to the customer Supply Chain Scope of Service, Internal Service Agreement (if applicable) and contract addendums, while ensuring that partnership commitments are adhered to and met.
Determines root cause of and assists with resolution for customer forecast variances and accuracy levels to ensure service levels for assigned customer engagements are identified and met.
Works with sales, materials and the customer in monitoring inventory utilization and determines/implements necessary action (including aging and Auto Plan reports.)
Identifies and targets customer part candidates to be added to and removed from customer engagements including part management issues such as ECO activities, EOL (End-of-Life), allocations, NCNR (non-cancelable, non-returnable) and obsolete notifications as applicable.
Participates in site visits and quarterly business reviews with customers.
Completes actions in support of the safe passage process to drive expeditious and thorough implementations.
Participates in process and quality improvements related to key operational metrics.
Other activities may be defined related to kitting and turnkey engagements.
Job Level Specifications:
Strong knowledge of industry, Avnet’s customer base, and most aspects of supply chain services principles/ERP knowledge.
Knowledge of Avnet’s tools and systems (AMPS, Genesis, DJ, Web I, Desktop concept).
Demonstrated organizational and multi-tasking skills
Strong analysis and problem solving skills
Ability to influence key internal and external customers
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Able to give work direction to internal groups to ensure tasks are accomplished.
Excellent customer service skills
Understanding of basic supply chain
- Typically 3-5 years with bachelor's or equivalent or 1-3 years with master's
Education and Certification(s):
A Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of formal education and directly related experience.
ESC (Electro Static Discharge) certification.
- This position requires a proactive, self-motivated work style with attention to details and deadlines. Some travel required.
