As a Country Manager, you will deploy our long-term strategy, to ensure market plan realization and build value proposition, driving the teams to their success for the business.

Philips aims at becoming the leading provider of solutions across the full ‘continuum of care’. The Country Manager of Mexico Healthtech is in charge of making customer service, education, software and integrated solutions the strategic pillars to find innovative ways to deliver healthcare.

You are responsible for

  • Provides direction to senior business managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations.

  • Consistently works with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas of the business.

  • Through assessment of intangible variables, identifies and evaluates fundamental issues, providing strategy and direction for the business.

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of business strategies, and the company’s goals.

  • Develops territory plans and participates in strategic and tactical planning.

  • Broad responsibility and significant operational latitude and Enabling Functions.

  • Interacts internally and externally with executive level management, requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.

You are a part of

Based in Mexico City, will act as a Country Manager for Philip’s Healthcare and Personal Health activities in Mexico. Within Latin America, Mexico is one our key countries to invest in. Part of leadership is to keep the course and continue focusing on the millions of Mexicans, who still do not have access to healthcare and understand how we can help. You will also be responsible for +8 direct reports: Business Managers, Operations Managers and Enabling Functions with a total team of +200 people. Reporting to the Market Leader Latam.

To succeed in this role, you should have 10- 15 years’ experience in the following

  • Managing the commercial function in a large, complex organization, including consumer (B2C), business –to-business (B2B) models.

  • Proven track record as (senior) leader in a large global matrix organization with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Business/Commerce preferred Masters Level.

  • Full P/L responsibility

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of business strategies and development of territory plans participating at strategic and tactical planning.


  • First and most important, passion for Healthcare and improving quality of life.

  • To keep delivering consistently upon our long-term plan approved by board of management.


  • Competency in managing the commercial function within a global matrix structure organization.

  • Lean or Continuous Improvement Background (Black Belt desirable).

  • Innovative strategic skills: to develop and embed simple, effective strategies that make us winners in the market.

  • Skills in leveraging capabilities: work across internal and external boundaries to maximize the outcomes

  • Collaboration and influencing competencies: sensitive to stakeholder requirements and influences them to buy-in to an idea.

  • Skills in championing people’s growth: commits personally to the performance and development of people, while considering long-term needs for Philips.

  • Competencies in change management.
