Manage the production teams by objectives – based on strong KPIs follow up, drive team spirit, coordinate transversal activities, lead organizational changes in production area, increase the skill level of production work force.
Contribute to the establishment of adequate operations budgets – under close cooperation with the Site Manager and functional leaders – and make sure budgetary limitations are respected.
Responsible for maintaining quality policies in the manufacturing area and for increasing the manufacturing quality performance to ensure Extraordinary Customer Experience and continuous improvement of products and services.
Is responsible for the safety and security of all employees in the manufacturing area and ensures that plant safety rules are followed.
Contribute to the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) on local level.
Support the professional growth of employees, identifying key players, proposing actions aimed at motivating people.
Actively contribute to develop local talents through training, coaching, and facilitation.
Ensure employees are skilled and trained according to latest standards.
Provide strong leadership to VS Managers in order to ensure proper performance of duties and achievement of assigned objectives.
Keep all production employees informed about KPI’s status and targets
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, Master's Degree preferred
DMAIC Six Sigma Master Black Belt preferred
5 to 10 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or industrial engineering and economical knowledge.
Previous experience in leading operations in multiple value stream level is essential.
Strong background in Lean practices, experience in using value stream mapping and implementing TEOA tools, such as: 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover and TPM essential.
Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management
Strong team leader
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results
Analytically minded and data-driven to have a holistic overview of complex situations.
Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish and English.
Working knowledge of the manufacturing processes, such as Molding, plating, stamping and assembly.
Working knowledge of organization and company transactional processes
The role will involve some travel into the region and commute between Hermosillo and Empalme.
