  • Manage the production teams by objectives – based on strong KPIs follow up, drive team spirit, coordinate transversal activities, lead organizational changes in production area, increase the skill level of production work force.

  • Contribute to the establishment of adequate operations budgets – under close cooperation with the Site Manager and functional leaders – and make sure budgetary limitations are respected.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality policies in the manufacturing area and for increasing the manufacturing quality performance to ensure Extraordinary Customer Experience and continuous improvement of products and services.

  • Is responsible for the safety and security of all employees in the manufacturing area and ensures that plant safety rules are followed.

  • Contribute to the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) on local level.

  • Support the professional growth of employees, identifying key players, proposing actions aimed at motivating people.

  • Actively contribute to develop local talents through training, coaching, and facilitation.

  • Ensure employees are skilled and trained according to latest standards.

  • Provide strong leadership to VS Managers in order to ensure proper performance of duties and achievement of assigned objectives.

  • Keep all production employees informed about KPI’s status and targets

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, Master's Degree preferred

  • DMAIC Six Sigma Master Black Belt preferred

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics or industrial engineering and economical knowledge.

  • Previous experience in leading operations in multiple value stream level is essential.

  • Strong background in Lean practices, experience in using value stream mapping and implementing TEOA tools, such as: 5S+1, Visual Factory, Standard Work, Quick Changeover and TPM essential.

  • Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from the shop floor to top management

  • Strong team leader

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically to deliver results

  • Analytically minded and data-driven to have a holistic overview of complex situations.

  • Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish and English.

  • Working knowledge of the manufacturing processes, such as Molding, plating, stamping and assembly.

  • Working knowledge of organization and company transactional processes

  • The role will involve some travel into the region and commute between Hermosillo and Empalme.
