Oracle Weblogic Administrator in Guadalajara/Zapopan, Mexico
We are looking for an experienced Weblogic specialist to join the Product Development IT Business Application Services ERPCRM team. Members of this team are required to help install, configure, maintain, patch, upgrade, and troubleshoot issues for a variety of the latest Oracle middleware products running on the latest Oracle hardware platforms. This primarily includes, but is not limited to, supporting Oracle Fusion CRM and Financial application environments and working with Oracle Fusion Middleware products such as Weblogic, BI, ODI, SOA and IDM. Additionally, as we are often early adopters of new product releases, our team members will have opportunities to work on the latest Fusion software before or immediately after it is released to external customers.
Team members will be expected to provide support on both internal production and test systems. They are also required to participate in Production Oncall & Monitoring rotations for various applications supported by the PDIT BSA ERPCRM team and other PDIT BSA teams. Oncall work is required on weekdays and periodic weekend days (though not on consecutive days) during US hours with options for working EMEA afternoon hours for those located in the central/eastern timezones.
Team members will also lead or participate in various middleware implementation and enhancement projects and will be required to work on global, cross-functional teams.

Minimum requirements include:
Relevant Industry experience of 5 years.
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
Weblogic Application Server Installation and Administration Experience
Working knowledge of Linux/Unix including commands and shell scripting
Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills in the middleware area
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and with members of a global team without close supervision
Preferred but not required:
Oracle Fusion Application Installation and Administration experience (a big plus)
SOA Suite administration (BPEL & WSM)
Knowledge/experience on Oracle BI, ODI and Data Warehouse concepts
Knowledge of Oracle Internet Directory (OID) & IDM administration
Experience operating in a technical lead role
General Oracle database administration knowledge
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Work with a world class team to provide enterprise-wide, Oracle Database Administration support for production systems and provide DBA services to application development teams, including database design, database generation, coding, and database production support. Provide DBA support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Provide accurate and creative solutions to user problems of moderate nature to ensure user productivity.
Provide Development and/or Production support. This includes creating primary database storage structures, designing and creating primary objects, modifying database structure as necessary for enhancements or performance, creating documentation, designing interfaces, database objects, and creating plans. Monitor and optimize performance of the database, plan for backup and recovery of the database, and allocate system storage and plan future storage needs. Create database-related scripts and programs to support development and production environments. Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL and database tools.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM
- s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools. Exposure and practice at using the DBMS to optimize performance of large databases for enterprise use is preferred. Experience with an organization with a key 24 X 7 reliance on its database is desirable. BS or equivalent desired.
