The IT Project Manager 3, will report to the Director,
Program Management, Oracle Applications Labs, and be responsible for driving
projects to successful completion.
- Drives cross-functional execution of
projects, across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Coordinates activities across
functions and groups in compliance to the project lifecycle.
- Creates, optimizes, and drives plans
using the OAL Project Life Cycle methodology.
- Effectively adapts and modifies
plans based on changing data or conditions.
- Ensures that projects track to
schedule and scope.
- Learns from project retrospective
and applies the learning for future projects.
- Aligns project teams with the
business’ objectives and understands the inter-dependencies across
- Frames communication and discussions
for the intended audience, with appropriate context and line of sight.
- BS/BA degree required; MS/MIS or MBA
is a plus
- PMI PMP, CSM or similar
certification/training is a plus
- 3-5 years of overall development or
implementation experience with a minimum of 1 year in a project management or
development leadership capacity.
- Proven success with consistently
delivering cross-functional, technology projects (product or IT) for large
- Understanding of Waterfall and
- Experience with working in a global
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and
problem solving skills
Technical background is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.
Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically 5 years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
