IBM Sys Admin/ Infrastructure Specialist - Windows / Linux / Unix (AIX) in GUADALAJARA, Mexico
System Administrator should be able to perform tasks as part of Global Infrastructure team to install, administer, maintain, upgrade, apply fixes on Windows / Linux / Unix (AIX), zOS Operating Systems and related software.Should be able to plan, coordinate and implement software version changes and use utility tools to monitor elements of the system, such as memory, central processing unit (CPU) and program errors generated from a system or software problem.Provides technical assistance and guidance to technical support team members and application developers, understanding the complexities of infrastructure design and maintenance, be able to analyze architecture and security issues, and perform advanced troubleshooting.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fieldMinimum of 4-5 years working in a production support and system administratorProficiency in TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, TFTP, LDAP and other common core internet technologies and services.Hands-on experience managing efforts in Windows 2012 / Linux (SLES, RedHat) / Unix (AIX) environments, distributed systems large-scale web applications as well as strong understanding of database technology.Experience with shell scriptingExpertise with VPN, Load Balancing, Routing Protocols, SSH, Storage, monitoring and troubleshooting toolsExperienced in Virtualization technologyExperience with web technologies (Apache, HIS, Tomcat, WehSphere)Knowledge of Cloud Computing conceptsStrong customer focusExcellent oral and written communication skills
