The goal of the TECHNICOLOR (TCH) ServiceNow Internal Systems team is to provide elegant business automation applications and customizations on the ServiceNow platform to radically increase the efficiency of various businesses and empower them to be highly successful. We are expanding to develop easy-to-use and flexible SaaS solutions on the ServiceNow platform for all our internal users and for our customers to interact with us.
As an Applications Engineer, you will be a key member of the TCH Service-Now System Administration Development group with the opportunity and responsibility to design and develop new implementation solutions to be the best in the industry. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with the Sr. Program Manager of Service-Now (and product owners when called upon) to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high quality product to our users. You will be working on a collaborative team using agile software development methodology. Your design and implementation will also need to ensure security, integrity, and consistency of critical user and customer data. Knowing the Technicolor business process, infrastructure, applications and culture is a definite PLUS! Media and Entertainment experience is preferred.
Service Now development and design experience; Creating detailed architecture and technical designs for key projects including flow charts, UML diagrams, data models, UI model, database model, system integration interfaces.
5+ years of software development experience in enterprise software and/or building web services at scale.
Expertise in unit and integration test automation.
Expertise with HTML technologies including HTML, CSS AJAX SOAP, REST, Jelly Scripting and associated practices.
Experience with coding and diagnosing problematic SQL.
Familiarity with Unix shell and source control systems and tools such as GIT, MAVEN and ANT.
Expertise in coding efficient, object-oriented and modularized software.
Demonstrated experience with Client and Server-side Java scripting.
Demonstrated experience with Service-Now Import Sets and Transform Maps.
Demonstrated experience in PowerShell, SSH and/or similar Runbook Automation language.
Demonstrated and solid debugging, testing, and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in implementing and supporting the Service Now Product Line.
General understanding of ITIL and ITSM concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) around all key technical decisions during project delivery.
Demonstrated ability to interact and collaborate with clients and other team members from the business and technical domains, and all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated track record in working collaboratively with teams on problem solving and delivery.
Special consideration given to candidates having prior experience on Service-Now.
High energy, self-starter with an aptitude for learning new technologies.
You must have a passion to identify root cause, solve complex problems and write high quality software.
BS and/or MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
3+ years experience as system administator and/or developer in Service-Now environment.
English fluency at the professional level is vital.
